K'NEX ball coasters can be built to any size, and some are large enough to fill an entire room.
We stock the various types of track, balls and track connectors required to build ball coasters in our Online shop.
Traditionally, the orange split tubing K'NEX track (92602) is used for ball coasters. However, the thicker blue or red track can be used as an alternative, if you already have it available.
Whichever type of track you use, it should be connected to your K'NEX model by using the 90910 K'NEX Connector 5-way for Track Orange and/or the 90911 K'NEX Clip with Splice end Orange.
Note also that different lengths of track can be joined to each other by using the 20501 Track splice (not shown).
The most popular ball used in ball coasters is shown in the photo opposite.
It is built from any two K'NEX Ball halves - for example a K'NEX Ball half Red (90990) plus a K'NEX Ball half Yellow (90991).
The completed ball is approx 46mm in diameter.
A well-known example of a ball coaster is the K'NEX Big Ball factory, shown opposite.
