K'NEX in the History curriculum
K'NEX challenges can be used as an enjoyable way of providing hands-on history projects to pupils, by asking them to design and build structures and mechanisms from different periods of history, including:
♦ Castles ♦ Windmills (see photo) ♦ Waterwheels ♦ Bridges ♦ Railways ♦ Cranes ♦ Piers ♦ Lighthouses ♦ Mangonels and catapults ♦ Helmets and armour ♦ Swords and shields
A case study of a Medieval Fayre involving 10 K'NEX historical challenges is included on the Family Learning page.
