  • We now buy new K'NEX and Kid K'NEX sets/parts/guides. If you have such items available for sale (eg as clearance stock) please . Minimum order 5 sets/guides or 5Kg of parts.


  • Most of our K'NEX and Kid K'NEX education sets now come with free bonus items.


  • Shipping of K'NEX and Kid K'NEX sets to the UK mainland now costs only £5 for orders up to £150, and is free for larger orders.


  • We held a programme of K'NEXPO 2008 seminars around the UK in Jan/Feb, to provide details of exciting new developments such as K'NEX bricks.


  • In January, we provided a free pack of 50 K'NEX parts and a free 131-page guide to 1,000 schools and educational organisations across the UK.


  • A further 2,000 schools and educational organisations also received just the free 131-page guide.

  • In Q1 2007 the network of K'NEX Training Consultants delivered K'NEX sessions and K'NEX training workshops to 2,224 children and adults.


  • You can now buy K'NEX and Kid K'NEX retail sets in our shop, thanks to an affiliate link with Mail Order Express.


  • We have added a whole new section entitled K'NEX models to build with motors, and also added some extra K'NEX Handy Hints.


  • We have launched a large new section in our sister website constructionkits2enjoy.org.uk, in which you can win Prizes for completing K'NEX challenges.

  • In 2006 the UK network of K'NEX Training Consultants delivered 66 K'NEX sessions to 6500 participants across the UK.
  • The K'NEX Training Consultants also delivered 17 K'NEX training workshops during the year.
  • On December 22nd, we added some exciting new items into the Special offers section of our Parts & Guides shop.
  • On December 19th, the UK network of K'NEX Training Consultants held its annual meeting in Birmingham.
  • In November, we lowered the prices of some of the smaller K'NEX parts.
  • In late October, this website was published in an improved format, with more free resources.
  • In mid October, we helped the Engineering Centre for North and Mid Wales run a K'NEX Sports Stadium challenge with 400 sixth form pupils in 20 schools.

  • On 29th and 30th March, one of the K'NEX training consultants, Karen Routledge, ran a stand at the Continyou study support/out-of-school-hours learning conference at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.
  • From March 9 to 11 we ran the K'NEX Education stand at the Education Show at the NEW in Birmingham. Hundreds of teachers and other educationalists visited us there, and received a free K'NEX or Kid K'NEX sample and a free K'NEX guide.
  • On 21 February, we delivered a "Family Learning with K'NEX" training workshop for Monmouthshire LEA.
  • On 27 January we delivered a "Family Learning with K'NEX" training workshop in Dudley.
  • On 25 Jan we added lots of new K'NEX and Kid K'NEX models to our Photo galleries.
  • On 11 January we delivered a "Family Learning with K'NEX" training workshop for Durham LEA.
  • On 5 January we held an all-day seminar in Birmingham for our K'NEX training consultants.

News from Quarter 4 2005

  • In November/December, Catherine Wilcock, Nigel Moore and Klaus Selke became the most recent additions to the UK network of K'NEX training consultants.
  • On 7 December we ran a K'NEX pig challenge for KS4 pupils at Deesside college.
  • On 28 November we delivered a "Building Bridges with K'NEX" training workshop for teachers at the Catalyst science centre in Runcorn.
  • From 17 to 19 November we had a stand at the Design and Technology Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
  • On 12 November we ran a K'NEX Mousetrap challenge at an Open University recruitment day in Cardiff.
  • From 11 to 14 October, we helped the Engineering Centre for North and Mid Wales to run a successful K'NEX project for 400 sixth form pupils. The pupils had to design and build a self-propelled "Pig" that would climb up the inside of a pipe.
  • Two further organisations have kindly agreed to become K'NEX training consultants, Exscite Ltd in Cambridge, and SETPOINT Wales in Pontypridd.
  • On 7 October, we delivered a "Getting started with K'NEX" training workshop to 40 primary school staff in Plymouth.

  • From 30 September to 2 October, we exhibited at the Early Years and Primary Teaching exhibition in London.
  • On 5 September, we delivered a half-day "Family Learning with K'NEX" training workshop to Halton Borough Council.
  • In August we licensed some of our training workshops to two experienced training consultants, Karen Routledge in North East England, and Michelle Johnson in South East England. Karen and Michelle can now deliver these training workshops, and also K'NEX sessions, to schools and to other educational organisations.
  • Our new Members' Area went live in our website on 10 August.
  • On 15 July, we provided a "Family Learning with K'NEX" training workshop to Derbyshire LEA.
  • On 14 July we provided a K'NEX workshop for a group of home educators and their families in Stafford.
  • On 10 July, we added an extensive range of K'NEX spare parts to our online shop.
  • On 6 July we provided "Building Bridges with K'NEX" workshops at a Family Learning conference in Durham.

  • On 24 June we delivered a K'NEX training workshop to a secondary school in South Wales.
  • On 16 June we provided "Building Bridges with K'NEX" workshops at Dudley LEA's annual Family Learning conference.
  • On 8 and 9 June we delivered a series of 2-hour "Big K'NEX Giveaway" training workshops in Bracknell and Walsall. Delegates came from playschemes, home education, primary schools and family learning.
  • In May, June and July, Campaign for Learning were kind enough to allow us to have a stand at their three regional "Planning for Family Learning Week 2005" conferences, in Warwick, Reading and Liverpool.
  • On 24 May we delivered an accredited "Family Learning with K'NEX" training workshop for family learning practitioners at Wealdstone Library.
  • On May 6 and 7 we had our own stand at the GMEX Early Years and Primary teaching exhibition in Manchester.

  • On March 22 we attended the Engineering Education Scheme event at Celtic Manor in Newport.
  • From March 17th to 19th we had our own exhibition stand at the NEC Education Show.
  • On 11 March we provided a K'NEX "ice-breaker" for 100 delegates at Leicestershire's Family Learning conference, and a "Building Bridges with K'NEX" training workshop.
  • We understand that the National Coal Mining Museum, who attended our Halifax training workshop in November, will be using K'NEX to build coal trucks and lift shafts in National Science Week in March.
  • We are delivering training workshops to primary and secondary schools at the rate of more than one a week at present.
  • We have recently run "Family Learning with K'NEX" training workshops in Derby and Bristol.
  • We are trialling a new Guide entitled "K'NEX for Hands-on Numeracy" with educational charity ContinYou.
  • Our first workshop in 2005 was a Family Learning with K'NEX training workshop for Lancashire County Council.

  • On 10 December we delivered a training workshop to the heads of Design and Technology Departments from a number of secondary schools in South Wales.
  • On 25 November we helped to run a very enjoyable "Breakfast with K'NEX" family session at a primary school in Blackpool.
  • We received the following email and photo from Chris Frankland in Farnborough, who attended our K'NEX training workshop in September.On 23 November we provided a "Family Learning with K'NEX workshop" at the Eureka! children' museum in Halifax.
  • 20 delegates attended, from local authorities, museums, schools and voluntary sector organisations across the North of England.
  • We have now delivered the first "Building machines with K'NEX" and "Using Kid K'NEX with 3-7 year olds" training workshops to primary schools teachers.
  • On 20 October we provided an all-day "Family Learning with K'NEX" training workshop for Essex County Council. 26 delegates attended, from the different regions of Essex. The county has now purchased a number of K'NEX education sets to use in their family learning programmes.

  • There are now three new K'NEX education sets available in the Online shop - a Kid K'NEX Vehicles set and a Kid K'NEX Creatures for children aged 3 to 7 (Early Years), and a DNA, Replication and Transcription set for secondary schools (Key Stage 3/4).
  • The Family Learning with K'NEX workshop on 14 September at the Open Learning Centre, Bracknell, West of London attracted 27 delegates.
  • As of 1 September 2004, 28 primary schools had booked our Building Bridges with K'NEX workshop.
  • On 19 July we ran a K'NEX rope-making machine challenge for 11-19 year olds attending the final of the 2004 Young Engineers competition.
  • We also provided the Olympic Stadium challenge used by the pupils in the national final of the K'NEX Junior Engineers for Britain challenge on the same day.

  • The JEB Training Workshop for the North of England was held at SETPOINT Cumbria on Tuesday 18 May.
  • On 6 May we participated in the Campaign for Learning's Family Learning Week planning conference in Birmingham.
  • The JEB Training Workshop for the Midlands was held at SETPOINT Birmingham on Wednesday 5 May.
  • The first "Building bridges with K'NEX" workshop was delivered on 28 April in Cadle Primary School.
