Hint A14 - Alternatives to Grey 190mm rods

Our experience in using K'NEX in different settings has led us to the conclusion that the K'NEX Rod 190mm Grey should be used infrequently in model design, for three reasons:

1. Few sets include these rods in any quantity.

2. They are expensive to buy as parts, as they have to be imported from the USA by Airfreight.

3. When used in larger structures, they tend to bend slightly, reducing the rigidity of the structure.

A much cheaper alternative is to use two Rod 86mm Yellow joined by a single Connector 2-way straight Orange, as shown in the photo above.
